Privacy policy
jeeneetrank.com ("we") is a counselling tool for JEE and NEET students in India, run by Naman Markhedkar. This page says exactly what we collect, why, and what we never do with it. Short version: the predictor runs in your browser and sends nothing; we collect details only when you book a session or subscribe, and we never sell or share them with colleges, coaching centres or anyone else.
The predictor and choice-list tool
Your rank, category, gender, home state and choice list are processed entirely inside your browser. They are not sent to our servers. Your choice list is saved in your own browser's local storage so it's there when you come back; clearing site data removes it. A shareable link contains your inputs and list in the URL — share it only with people you want to see it.
The Counsellor chat
When you send a message, the message and a summary of what's on your page (your inputs, the seats and probabilities shown, your list) are sent to our server so the assistant can answer about your numbers. The server forwards them to an AI model provider (OpenRouter, using a DeepSeek model) to generate the reply. We don't store chat transcripts; the provider's handling is governed by OpenRouter's privacy policy. Don't put passwords, application numbers or other secrets into the chat.
Booking a 1:1 session
To book, we collect your name, WhatsApp number, email, exam, rank, category, home state and any notes you add. We use them to run the session, to send you the calendar invite and Meet link, and to contact you about the booking. Payment is taken by Dodo Payments; we never see your card or UPI details. The calendar invite is created in our Google Calendar and sent to the email you gave, via Google's services. Booking records are kept for as long as needed to deliver the session and handle refunds or disputes, then deleted.
Waitlist and Season Pass
If you join the waitlist, your email goes into a Google Form we control and is used only to tell you when the product launches. If you buy a Season Pass, we keep your email, the plan and the payment reference to provide the service.
What we don't do
- We do not sell, rent, share or broker your details to colleges, universities, coaching institutes, education loan providers or marketers. Ever.
- We take no money from any college and have no referral arrangements.
- We do not run advertising trackers. We may use privacy-respecting analytics that count page views without identifying you.
Cookies and storage
We use browser local storage for your saved choice list and preferences, and the payment provider may set cookies on its own checkout page. We set no advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete any personal data we hold about you by emailing hello@jeeneetrank.com. We'll respond within 7 days. Students under 18 should use the booking and payment features with a parent or guardian.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top and note it on the site.
